These close reading journals provide students right away with a 'choice menu' of content to engage with, and then provides various scaffoldings to support their thinking and reading comprehension processes.
If you would like to RE-USE the TEMPLATE, you just need to copy one of the google doc versions into your google drive, and then you will be able to insert your own content into the choice menu section.
The Measured Mom has free bookmark resources that encourage and remind students how to engage with the text they are reading. They are intended for elementary school students, but the concept is transferable for all ages.
